An unique new development of Luxury Mountain Lodges 10km from Bansko mountain resort in South-west Bulgaria.

Situated on a hill-side above a traditional village, the properties will enjoy fantastic, uninterrupted views to the mountains across the valley. Most properties will face towards the Bansko ski runs themselves. The properties will be built on 3 floors – a basement “Spa” opening out on to a fabulous patio with decking, ground floor, living area with light & airy “Great Room”, kitchen, dining area and Master bedroom suite, and 2nd floor with 2 additional en-suite bedrooms. The main house will be constructed from specially prepared logs, giving the property a wonderful warmth and vitality that can only be found in a wood house.

The Area has truly become an all-year round holiday paradise. In winter, the focus is on
snow-sports. With over 70km of pisted runs, and more on the way, as well as off-piste opportunities, Bansko offers skiing (both downhill and cross-country), boarding and other snow activities. As the premier winter sports resort in the Balkans, Bansko hosts many competitions during the long ski season (December – April). There are also many opportunities for après-ski in the charming restaurants and bars in Bansko and the surrounding villages.

Golf is beginning to feature heavily in the area. The recently opened “Ian Woosnam” Par-72 Championship “Pirin” golf club is the first of 7 golf clubs to be constructed within 15km of property.

Summer Mountain Sports are available from the end of March until November and include White-water rafting, Mountain hiking, Rock Climbing & Mountain biking in both the Pirin & Rila National Parks. Other activities include off-road safaris, ATV trips, visits to the largest caves in Bulgaria, Horse Riding, Tennis & Fishing.

The Aegean Sea resort of Kavalla is only 2 hours drive away, and from there the fast ferry to Thassos takes less than an hour. Excursion from Bansko are available, some including an overnight in Thassos and others including diving expeditions.

The area is rich in Culture, and visits can be made to the world famous “Rila Monastery”, as well as the oldest church in Bulgaria at Dobarsko, only 4km from the lodges, where ancient frescoes and icons amaze you in the tiny church.

Bulgaria is a leading producer of high quality wines, and visits to wine villages, such as Melnik, should not be missed. Above all, the pace of life in the area and the magnificent views and scenery are ideal for relaxation. There are also many Thermal Spas offering many different treatments and therapies. Food and drink in the local restaurants (Mehanas) are excellent and good value, using fresh local ingredients, often grilled in front of you. Travel to the area gets easier all the time. Low cost airlines are flying to Sofia from all over Europe, and the airports at Plovdiv, Kavalla (GR) and Thessaloniki are also convenient. The main E79 from Sofia to Simitli has been considerably improved, as has the mountain road from there to Bansko. Car hire is readily available or transfers from the airport to the area can be arranged.

Bansko town has a lot to offer. To walk through the ancient cobbled streets you get the feel of the old world charm, with a town is filled with history. Here there is a very wide range of quality brand new shops and amenities which are constantly being expanded and improved to make Bansko one of the top resorts in Bulgaria. Bansko is the newest Bulgarian winter resort, and arguably the most exciting. Bansko ski resort is situated in South western Bulgaria, and is only 160km from Sofia, in the foothills of one of the most beautiful Bulgarian mountains - Pirin, which is a national preserve, and which is included in the WORLD NATURAL HERITAGE list. Bansko offers an interesting combination between the virgin nature of The Pirin Mountain range, state of the art skiing facilities, and the atmosphere of an ancient Bulgarian town.

The skiing conditions in Bansko are excellent. The Pirin Mountain is predominantly Alpine in character with three peaks towering above 2900 m. However the slopes offer runs and tracks for all types of skiers, novice through to expert; while the ski runs are maintained in excellent condition. The town itself attracts visitors all year round with its 120 cultural monuments, museums, nightlife and restaurants.

Surrounded by the Pirin and Rila mountains, Bansko is a climatic mountain resort with a short summer and long winter. The average temperature during January, the coldest month, is -19C. Snow falls are abundant, providing a constant winter snow cover up to 2 m thick. The skiing season along the Pirin slopes starts in the middle of December and ends in mid-April, although this is by no means a winter only resort; in the summer Bansko offers excellent hiking fishing, canoeing, horse riding and many other warm weather mountain pursuits. This is very much an all year round resort, which all the family can enjoy.
